Condition grades explained
Every Otraa device is graded on cosmetic condition only. Function is identical across all 3 grades — every device passes the same 40-point diagnostic before it is listed, whatever it looks like.
That is the whole point of the scale: it lets you decide how much you care about a scratch you will cover with a case anyway, and pay accordingly.
The scale at a glance

A — Like new
Indistinguishable from a new device. Hold it under a bright light at any angle and you will not find a mark. These are usually devices returned within a return window, or ex-display units that were barely handled.
B — Very good
Very light signs of use. There may be a hairline mark or two on the frame, the kind you find only if you go looking. In normal daily handling you would not notice anything.
C — Good
Light scratches on the frame or back that are visible up close but not from arm's length. No dents, no cracks. This is the grade most people should buy — the difference from B disappears the moment a case goes on.
What never varies
- The screen is flawless on every grade. No scratches, no dead pixels, no discolouration. A device with a marked screen is either re-screened or rejected — it is never downgraded to C.
- Every device passes the same 40-point diagnostic covering battery, display, cameras, speakers, microphones, every button, charging port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, GPS and Face ID or Touch ID.
- Every device is carrier-unlocked and works on any network.
- Every device carries the full 24-month warranty. Grade C is not a lesser guarantee.
How grading actually happens
Two technicians grade every device independently, without seeing each other's score. Around one device in seven produces a disagreement, almost always between adjacent grades.
When they disagree, we take the lower grade. Always. It costs us margin on every one of those devices and it is the most important policy we have. You should be pleasantly surprised when the box arrives, never disappointed.
Battery health
The figures above are guaranteed minimums. The exact measured percentage for the device you are buying is printed on every iPhone listing — not a range, the number. Any device arriving below 85% gets a new cell before it goes on sale.
